Two NYK-operated vessels — Garnet Leader, a pure car and truck carrier (PCTC), and NYK Remus, a containership — have been awarded the Panama Canal Authority’bet365 ボーナスnection Award, a new initiative started on January 1 to recognize vessels who demonstrate excellent environmental stewardship.

The award is part of the authority’bet365 ボーナスnection Environmental Recognition Program, and recipients are determined by evaluating eligible candidates based on the ship’s Environmental Ship Index (ESI) score. *

An index administered by the International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH) to measure a ship’s emissions based on the amount of nitrogen oxide (NO_x), sulphur oxide (SO_x), particulate matter (PM), and greenhouse gas released.
