NYK and Nippon Marine Enterprises, Ltd. (KanagawBet365 登録方法refecture, Japan) held an opening ceremony on May 28 for the Akita School of Wind and Sea, a training center for offshore wind farm operators and seafarers based at AkitBet365 登録方法refectural Oga Marine High School.
The ceremony was attended by Norihisa Satake, governor of AkitBet365 登録方法refecture; Hiroshi Chishima, DIRECTOR-GENERAL of General Coordination and Policy Planning Department of Tohoku Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry（METI Tohoku）; Koji Sugawara, mayor of Oga; and Takaya Soga, president of NYK.

The day included an introduction to a Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV)* training simulator, Bet365 登録方法ool for maritime survival training, and a firefighting facility for training in the event of an onboard fire.

This training center was established on April 1 under the fiscal 2022 and 2023 subsidy program for offshore wind power human resource development by the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy, which is part of Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. The most significant feature of this center is that it was established in collaboration with local governments, educational institutions, and companies in AkitBet365 登録方法refecture, and it is the first training center in Japan to be established within an existing school.
By providing an environment that deepens interest in and understanding of the offshore wind industry in the educational setting of a school, the training center is expected to serve as Bet365 登録方法lace where students and instructors can gather and grow and play a key role in local development through the economic benefits that will be generated by the traffic of people involved. We will continue to work hard to make the facility Bet365 登録方法lace that is loved by and contributes to the local community through collaboration among industry, government, and academia.
