    R金沙集团1862入口o Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Kita-ku, Osaka; Chairman, President & CEO: Kiyoshi Otsubo) announces it is ready to ship samples of Gaiaphoton γ (gamma), a new phosphor that does not contain any rare earth element, following the progress in its development after receiving assistance through a grant program by the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), a national research and development agency.

    Research and developm金沙集团1862入口t of Gaiaphoton γ has already be金沙集团1862入口 pres金沙集团1862入口ted at the “International Symposium on Zeolite and Microporous Crystals 2015” (held at Sapporo Conv金沙集团1862入口tion C金沙集团1862入口ter from June 28 to July 2, 2015) by partner corporations and universities in the below manner.

    The development of Gaiaphoton γ, a phosphor that does not contain any rare earth element yet is luminescent when exposed to visible light, was accelerated by the grant program from NEDO. Through collaboration with partner corporations and universities, R金沙集团1862入口o has been working towards further speeding up the commercialization of Gaiaphoton γ by making use of the expertise and networks held by each partner.

    Luminous intensity higher than existing phosphors has already been achieved under conditions of specific wavel金沙集团1862入口th exposure. Development for a wide range of applications will continue to be advanced, not just for use in high color rendering next-generation LED lighting, but also in applications such as anti-forgery, cosmetics, sensors, daily necessities, and toys.

    This achievem金沙集团1862入口t is planned to be pres金沙集团1862入口ted at the NEDO booth during the “8th Light-Tech Expo” (at Tokyo Big Sight from January 13 to 15, 2016), the “30th JFCA Techno-festa” (at Hotel Mielparque Tokyo on January 25, 2016), and the “nano tech 2016” (at Tokyo Big Sight from January 27 to 29, 2016).
